Getting ourselves into print

Tubosider has designed and supplied three stormwater attenuation tanks for a new 130,000 sq ft print and distribution centre at Thurrock Commercial Park in Essex.

Consumer media company DMGT subsidiary A&N Media, which publishes in the Daily Mail, is relocating from its existing site in Surrey Quays in a move representing £50m of investment in the new plant.

Working with contractors the Buckingham Group and engineers TR Collier, we created an attenuation scheme totalling 1642 cubic meters in capacity using 1.1 meter diameter pipes throughout.

Two of the three tanks were fitted with flow regulators in a six-figure project that continues a successful working relationship with Buckingham Group, and also TR Collier.

Construction of the print works, which will achieve a BREEAM Very Good rating, began in September 2011 and is expected to be completed in June 2012.
